Prince's Hamburgers Hamburger restaurant

Overview

If you're ever in Houston and craving a burger that brings a perfect mix of history, flavor, and nostalgia, look no further than Prince's Hamburgers. Located at 930 Main St, Houston, TX 77002, this place isn’t just a restaurant - it’s a beloved institution that has been serving locals and visitors alike for decades. Whether you’re a long-time fan or a first-time visitor, Prince’s offers an experience that’s as much about the food as it is about the atmosphere.

Walking into Prince’s Hamburgers, you’ll immediately feel the warmth of its classic diner vibe. The walls are adorned with retro memorabilia, and the staff, with their friendly smiles, make you feel right at home. What sets this place apart is the authenticity it offers - the food, the ambiance, and even the simple joy of biting into a juicy, perfectly cooked burger.

The Prince’s Hamburgers menu is packed with mouth-watering options, but their signature hamburgers steal the show. From the first bite, it’s clear that Prince’s takes pride in using fresh ingredients. The beef patties are always cooked to perfection, juicy on the inside and crispy on the edges. But what truly elevates their burgers is the care they put into each component. The buns are soft, yet sturdy enough to hold up against all the delicious fillings. Toppings like freshly sliced lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles are piled high, giving every burger a burst of flavor.

The classic cheeseburger at Prince’s is an experience on its own. Melted cheese drips over the perfectly seasoned patty, and every bite is a savory delight. For those who like to customize, there’s an array of condiments and toppings to choose from. Whether you prefer a classic American burger or one with a bit more flair, Prince’s offers something to satisfy every taste.

But it’s not just the burgers that make this diner a standout. The fries, crispy and golden, are the perfect sidekick to any meal. Whether you go for a small or large portion, you’ll find yourself savoring each crispy bite. The onion rings are another fan favorite, crispy on the outside with a sweet, tender onion inside. And if you're looking for something more refreshing, their milkshakes are an absolute must-try. Thick, creamy, and available in various flavors, they make the perfect accompaniment to your meal.

If you're visiting with a group or family, there’s no shortage of options. Prince’s Hamburgers has a welcoming atmosphere that’s great for sharing a meal with friends or loved ones. The portions are generous, and the menu offers something for everyone, from sandwiches to sides. It’s the kind of place where everyone finds something they love, and the casual, laid-back vibe makes it ideal for a relaxed dining experience.

What’s also worth noting is how the restaurant has managed to stay true to its roots while adapting to the times. While you can still enjoy a good old-fashioned burger, Prince’s Hamburgers also embraces modern-day favorites like their veggie burger option for those looking for a plant-based meal. The ability to offer something for everyone, while keeping that classic diner charm intact, is one of the reasons why Prince’s has stood the test of time.

In terms of customer service, Prince’s does not disappoint. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and happy to recommend favorites if you’re new to the spot. They’re attentive without being overbearing, ensuring that your experience is both enjoyable and stress-free.

Over the years, Prince’s has built a loyal following. Locals and visitors alike have sung praises of the consistent quality and the nostalgic atmosphere that makes it a unique dining experience. Many return not just for the food, but because of the memories associated with it - whether it's grabbing a meal after a long workday or enjoying a casual weekend lunch with family.

If you're ever in the area, a stop at Prince’s Hamburgers is a must. Whether you’re seeking comfort food or simply want to try a legendary burger in the heart of Houston, this place has been serving up delicious meals for years and continues to do so with pride. With a menu full of classic American diner fare and a warm, inviting atmosphere, Prince’s is a place where you can indulge in the simple pleasures of life - great food, good company, and a genuine love for the craft of making a great burger.

The burger was a good solid burger. I had the Prince's original. Somehow my order was looked over, but when I mentioned it to the lady at the counter they got the order out to me very quickly. The onion rings were pretty good, and definitely looked better than the fries. Cost was great for the amount and quality of food. 10 bucks for lunch.

You can get a good old-fashioned burger in a fifties diner-style setting here. The have a good shrimp basket, really good malts and a home made root beer to die for.

This place is in the tunnels and is only open for lunch. They are known for their milkshakes but also you can grab a traditional burger that will be tasty.
